Review – Work Me Up by Julie Kriss @juliekriss16 @Danichez75

Book & Author Details:

Work Me Up (Riggs Brothers #3) by Julie Kriss
Publication date: 29th August 2018
Genres: Contemporary Romance

Baseball player. Single dad. Hot mess. No woman has ever tamed him… until now.

Everyone knows Ryan Riggs—everyone who follows minor league baseball, that is. He’s the player with the hair-trigger temper, the bad shoulder, and the smoking hot looks. He’s also a single dad in need of a nanny—which makes him my new boss.

Simple. Except for one thing: We had a one-night stand five years ago.

We’re trying to be professional. But it was one of the best nights of my life, and the more I work with him, the more I’m thinking about a repeat.

He’s battling his demons, and I might be the only one who can help him win.

He’s impossible.

He’s unforgettable.

He’s unwinnable.

Looks like I have my work cut out for me.

The Riggs Brothers Series:
Drive Me Wild (Book 1)
Take Me Down (Book 2)
Work Me Up (Book 3)
Make Me Beg (Book 4)

Once again, the author has gifted the reader with a real treat.  This is such an easy story to read, and is easily my favourite in the series so far.

The way these characters interact, and their restrained chemistry just honestly make this story one you could easily imagine unfolding.  I mean, I know that in romanceland, the guys are all pretty much perfect at all things, but here, it is obvious that a certain Riggs brother doesn’t have all the answers, or even all the moves.  And I loved him more for it.

And Kate?  She was the perfect counterpoint.  Not overly confident – somewhat lost – and yet ideal for Ryan.

This is a great piece of romance escapism.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book
