Killing EvaSynopsis:

The sensual trilogy of Eva and Clive concludes in the hotly anticipated follow-up to Loving Eva…

It started as a crush. Then a kiss. Then fifteen years of separation, and the agony of not knowing where or how to find Eva, the only girl he’s ever loved.

And when she returns to him it’s like a dream come true. He’ll never let her go.

She’s his beginning. She’s his end. She’s his now, and his forever. Then how did he let it come to this? How did he lose Eva?

He’s got to find her. He’s got to bring Eva back… or go where she’s gone.

I loved the first book and found that the second in the series really built the tension (and the suspect pool!).  So I was eagerly awaiting the concluding volume.

I wanted to love it.  I wanted it to be the epic conclusion that I think that the story deserved.  But for me, it fell just a little short.  This felt a little disjointed in the telling and there were elements of the tale that just felt a little irrelevant.

I really did love Clive and his protective nature, and Eva’s obvious feelings for Clive.  But the ending, whilst with an unexpected villain, felt anticlimactic.

I think that I understand what the author was trying to achieve here.  Sadly , it just didn’t quite deliver for me I’m afraid.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
