review

This is a quick, no nonsense, one sitting, spicy romance from the Dare Imprint.  And, being completely, brutally honest – the story line is probably going to go the way you expected.

But.

Do not let that deter you.  The mark of a good romance writer is when they are able to make the story stand out, even when written in an extremely popular trope.  This is one such story.  This is driven by the characters – I really and truly enjoyed their development throughout the book.  And when the inevitable crisis peaked, it was an an organic progression which built on the previous plot foundation, and was consistent with already established behaviour patterns from the lead characters.

That’s a pretty dry way to say that I think that the author has delivered a fun distraction in book form.  I look forward to the next in the series.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

About the author

Rebecca is an award-winning author who has always loved to read and travel. Before writing romance, she spent many years as an English teacher, an academic editor and a translator. Writing her first novel was a birthday present to herself.

Rebecca has, over the years, called many places home, including Michigan, where she grew up, New York City, San Francisco, and, of course, Stockholm, Sweden. After their most recent move from Sweden back to the San Francisco Bay Area, she and her husband assured each other they’ll never move again.

Well, probably not.

Rebecca writes a steamy indie series, Stockholm Diaries, and she writes books set in Australia for the new super-sexy Harlequin DARE line. She is represented by Melissa Jeglinski – The Knight Agency.
