I know that Hollywood has a penchant for reboots at the moment.  (Take Spiderman, for example).  And you could perhaps be forgiven for anticipating some of that approach to be sprinkled over this book like so much fairy dust, given what happened to Sienna in the Scottish Trilogy.

If that is what you are expecting; dreaming of; hoping for, then you may be disappointed. For while this is definitely not a reboot – this is something of a fresh start for our beloved, beleaguered, snarky heroine.  After so long with the company in her head, she now has to remember who she is without them.

That on its own is a story.  Add in some familiar faces, some new bad guys and some help from unexpected quarters and you have a tale that reminded me what the heart of these stories is:

At their core, just Sienna.  Finding a way to deal with everything put in her way.  With as much sarcasm as possible.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
