Godfire.jpgThe gods are rallying to take down Marion, their ally and voice in the mortal worlds. She’s gotten her memories back to disastrous results. She’s destroying the faerie courts, and the rest of the universe is next. The other deities want Seth—also known as the God of Death—to stop Marion before she breaks something that can’t be fixed.

Unfortunately, when Marion looks at Seth with those eyes and insists that she’s not doing anything wrong, he wants to believe her. Marion claims she isn’t trying to rewrite history. She’s protecting it.

Seth wants to trust Marion. It’s only the universe that’s at stake, after all. And some women are worth shattering worlds over…

The final chapter in New York Times Bestselling Author SM Reine’s Mage Craft series.

Wow.  When Sara brings you a conclusion to a story, she really brings it.  Like a boss.

This final chapter doesn’t shy away from the conflict; doesn’t water down the confrontations; doesn’t give the reader much of a chance to breathe. And, although I can’t always follow the twists and turns on the first pass, I don’t mind.

I never feel like I completely understand what is going on.  And I don’t care.  I love these stories.  I love the world she has created. I love the characters.  Well. I didn’t really love Marion = for much of this and the previous volumes.  However.  Without wishing to give anything away, the final incarnation of Marion deserved the ending she got.

With this series, Sara has pulled the reader into a maelstrom of action and emotion.  I, for one, enjoyed the ride.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

About the author

Hi everyone! My name is Sara, and I write urban fantasy and paranormal novels as SM Reine. I collect swords, cat hair, and typewriters (which I do use for writing!). It’s a good day when those three things have nothing to do with each other.

If you would like to know the instant my next book is available, you should enlist in my Army of Evil! We have a wicked cool secret handshake, but you’ll have to sign up to learn it.  Check it out — Army of Evil
