Cast In Faefire

Marion has agreed to something personally painful to further her political goals. But her sacrifice isn’t enough to make it go smoothly. Between Konig’s betrayal and a gaean revolt, Marion will be lucky to escape with her life intact, much less save the ethereal species from extermination.

You know when there’s an author whose books you devour, and you can’t wait to get the next one, but you know that when you do, you’re gonna read the book in one go and then have to wait?  Yep.  Sara Reine is one of those authors for me.

I said in my review of Cast in Hellfire that this was shaping up to be one of the best series from this author.  Cast in Faefire has solidified that view.

This book covers a reasonably short window of time, but the amount of action packed into the pages is concentrated and explosive.  I felt that this book elevates the story arc to a new level.  Deception, death and devastation.  This book is a literary slap to the face.

Well executed and completely engrossing.  I’m actually starting to like Marion – a lot!

I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.

About the author

Hi everyone! My name is Sara, and I write urban fantasy and paranormal novels as SM Reine. I collect swords, cat hair, and typewriters (which I do use for writing!). It’s a good day when those three things have nothing to do with each other.

If you would like to know the instant my next book is available, you should enlist in my Army of Evil! We have a wicked cool secret handshake, but you’ll have to sign up to learn it. 😉 Check it out — Army of Evil
