Book & Author Details:
Painkiller by Robert J Crane
Publication date: April 12th 2016
Genres: Sci Fi, Superhero
Sienna Nealon has spent the last several years of her life working for the US government, policing people with powers beyond those of a normal human. Now she’s come to the end of her government career, forced out by the powers that be…but not before she’s called to Chicago to investigate one final murder. Then another. The deeper she gets into the investigation, the more mysteries Sienna unravels, and the more questions she’s left with, until what began with a killing in an alley starts to look like a threat to the entire world…
It seems that Sienna’s growth in personality continues. Along with the ever present sarcasm and humour that we have come to expect from our sassy leading lady. And bad guys. Very bad guys.
To me, this had an “Avengers Assemble” feel to it – read the book, you’ll see what I mean. The new characters give the established cast a bit of a shake up. In a really entertaining manner.
And yet, there is another twist. One that might leave your jaw dropped to the floor. I can’t wait to see where Crane goes with that one. Possibly the best in the series yet.
I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.
