Can a six-foot-tall female Fae Warrior from another realm, and a hunky ready for action ex-Army Ranger save the earth from invasion?
Solace Goodeve, one of Mother Nature’s favorite Fae Warriors, is assigned to Earth to help save the planet. Reptile invaders, disguising themselves as humans, are waging a takeover—and Mother is mad enough to eat asteroids. Solace is ready to prove herself as a warrior, but having a human for a partner is not in her battle plan—even if the man is rugged, ripped, and ready for action.
Army Ranger, Tanner Jackson, has seen his share of black op missions. The last one took a toll on both body and soul. Tanner isn’t looking for love, even though his new partner is six-foot-tall and drop dead gorgeous. However, after Solace shows him a new meaning to working undercover, he may have to reconsider that possibility.
As the Reps plan to sabotage NOAA, Tanner and Solace must learn to trust one another. But as they’re trying to save the world, Solace and Tanner might just lose their hearts—and that takes the most courage of all.
Could there be something in the earth water that made her so preoccupied with sex?
The phone rang, catapulting her out of her randy fantasy. She grabbed the receiver, glad now she’d placed it on the table beside the hot tub. Tanner’s name flashed across the incoming call indicator.
“Hello, Lieutenant,” she answered, heart pounding in her chest. “I was just thinking about you.” Wrong, wrong, wrong, she should have said something else. At the dead silence, she felt like a silly Saturn Sundrifter.
“Great minds,” he said, politely. “What are you doing tomorrow?”
“Why?” she sparred, not willing to admit she had nothing on her agenda.
“I have the day off and wondered if you’d like to go skydiving.”
Jerking to attention too quickly, she slid off the hot tub seat and under the water. Grabbing the edge with one hand, she held the phone above water with the other, and fought to relocate her bare bottom onto the slippery seat.
“Sounds like fun,” she lied.
“Ever been before?”
She’d been flying since she was three months old.
“No, but I’m always open to new experiences.” Like what it would feel like to kiss your gorgeous mouth.
“We’d have to get an early start. That okay with you?”
“What do you call early?” she questioned, being more of a night creature.
“Pick you up at 0500.”
The very idea made her gag. “But couldn’t we—”
The dial tone hummed in her ear.
She clicked off the phone and set it aside. Oh, terrific. She never looked her best in the morning, could barely think straight. And with the idea of spending tomorrow with her hunky lieutenant teasing around in her brain, the likelihood of getting a good night’s sleep seemed slim to none. By five a.m. she’d look like something a Draconian bearcat dragged in. But wouldn’t it all be worth it to spend the day with Tanner?
A spasm of desire speared straight to her core setting her once more to fantasizing. By Mithras, she needed a good—sliding under the water, she tried to drown out the idea. Surfacing, she blew out a big breath, and a bucket load of unfulfilled desire.
Greetings…I live in beautiful Colorado with my chaotic herd of abandoned farm animals. My friends and family keep me sane, and writing keeps me hungry to learn new things even as I research times gone by.
When you open a book and turn the pages, you breathe life into the characters and set them free. My stories are adventurous romance, past, present, and into the future, sometimes with a bit of magic or fantasy, but always with a happy ending.
If I don’t see you in the future, I’ll see you in the pasture (or the hat store).
